Grading desk

Grading is a service, not magic.

Before paying for encapsulation or authentication, understand exactly what the service says it evaluates, what the holder will say, the risks of shipping, and whether the economics work for your item.

What is being authenticated?

Read the service description literally. “Unopened,” “authentic,” “factory sealed,” “complete” and “original packaging” are not interchangeable claims.

What grade matters?

The market premium may be concentrated in a narrow top-grade band. Use sold evidence, not wishful target grades.

What can go wrong?

Shipping loss, damage, rejection, unexpected grade, turnaround time and thin buyer demand all belong in the decision.
