VHS & Physical Media unopened collectible
What to document first

Before you value it, identify the exact package.

“Sealed” is a condition and packaging state, not an identity. Price evidence only becomes useful when the item, edition, region, package format and seal type are genuinely comparable.

  1. Studio seals and watermarks can be release-specific.
  2. Rental-store wraps and later rewraps are not equivalent to factory seals.
  3. Release identifiers, catalog numbers and stickers matter.
  4. Heat can warp cases and damage media even while the wrap remains intact.
NeverOpened tools can organize observations. They do not authenticate an item. For valuable or disputed material, use a qualified category specialist or relevant authentication service.
